Accidental Beauty of Art September 4, 2010

Filed under: Artworks — chicapod @ 11:22 pm

You must be wondering what this is.

I used a styrofoam cutter and randomly formed designs on a styrofoam piece.

Actually I think it looks like a Christmas tree!

I think many artists create beauty accidentally, or randomly when they are playing with their materials and stuff.

So maybe we could start a art movement called “Randomism” then we’ll just grab anything that we see in from of us and manipulate it as much as we want it to be, stress-free.

  1. Hahaha. Cool, I would like to do that too.
But the work wouldn’t really hold any meaning, would it? And people would really start to pick up anything to say that it is “art”.
    :/

yeah, true. but everyone has a different view on art, and different interpretations of art so maybe my definition of art is something that i create that gives me joy, anything that fits into the category will be considered art to me:D
